Sync Stops every once in awhile

I would really like to solve this ongoing issue. Every couple of weeks the sync between woocommerce and square stops working. When I go to WooCommerce settings – square – update, there is a spinning disc where the next sync time should be and it will not sync anymore when in this state.
The way I fix this is to disconnect from Square and re-connect my site. It will then show the next sync in an hour and most times it will sync and work for a week or so until the issue pops up again.
I don’t know if it times out or what, but shouldn’t it be able to just cancel the current sync and then try again in an hour? It is super frustrating to have to check this almost each day it seems to make sure syncing is still going to happen.
