I am experiencing errors with another plugin. I contacted the developer and he found this:

    {“apbct”:{“blocked”:true,”comment”:”*** Forbidden. You sent forms too often. Please wait a few minutes. ***”,”stop_script”:0}}

Which I found in this forums to be a Cleantalk error.

When I deactivated Cleantalk, I was able to use the form/upload without error. Activated again, I cannot upload files using the form.

Looking at advanced settings, logically it seems like “User’s groups exclusions” would address the issue. However, when I selected the role I was using for the test, I still got the error.

Additionally, the role for the majority of my users is not included in the exclusion list. The plugin I use for roles is User Role Editor.

Logically, the “URL exclusions” would not cause the error. I added the URL to the exclusions list, but still got the error.

    Hello,

Could you tell us the plugin’s name and all steps to reproduce the issue? We will test it in our environment.

    Hello @fiberlyone

What do we need to do to reproduce the issue?

Here is a PDF of my emails with WordPress File Upload developer. It works backward from his response to my initial steps (and repeated steps) to create the error.

    The URLs to test are:
    Instance 1
    Instance 2

    CleanTalk is active.

    I confirm the issue.

Please, remove all records from the exclusion fields.

You need to add the page name only. Without a path or a protocol. For example, add upload-annual-meeting-files or test-upload.

Do this and tell me if it is done.

Adding the page name to the URL exclusions field worked for successive uploads of two file types – PDF and ZIP. I was able to upload a JPG file only on the first upload. Successive upload attempts returned an file type error.

Is this something that CleanTalk would cause? If not, I will go back to the WP File Upload developer.

    Thanks.

    Yes, it caused by CleanTalk.

We will contact you within 2-3 workdays. If you need, you can use the ReCaptcha instead of CleanTalk for this period.

    Hello,

Does it happens only with JPG files? I’ve tested your form with good e-mail and PFD – it was passed, and blacklisted e-mail – it blocked.

Also, i’ve add exclusion for the internal request of WFU:
    https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/commit/c0e67e6d6d75c0af865ea323884eb7286e12647a

    Best regards.
