    Hey there,
I’ve created a course that is supposed to be free of charge but I wanna have control over who is enrolling the course. In other words, I wanna be the only person who has the right to add a paticipant to that course via his email address. Is that possible in Sensei?

And in general: How do users normally enroll for a course? Can they create their own account? I checked the Box “Users must be logged in to view the lessons content.” (translated from german version) in the settings tab of Sensei. But when users try to take a course, they are asked to register but no options how to do that are shown. Theres only a link back to the course page. How do users actually register for a course? When I am logged in to wordpress, the registration automatically works and uses my WordPress-registered email address. Does every user need a WordPress account to enroll?

Thanks for help. I am pretty new to both, Sensei and WordPress. Maybe I missed something basic?

    Best,
    Gregor

  • Hi @megor86 ,

My apologies for the delay in responding!

This is difficult. You could make your courses password-protected, so anyone on your site isn’t able to enroll in them. Once you enroll a student, you can then provide them with the password.

Another option requires WooCommerce and WC Memberships. See https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-memberships-user-memberships/ for more information.

    I’d also take a look here: https://www.skyverge.com/product/woocommerce-memberships-sensei-member-area/

I had the same problem, and I’ve just imagined a solution.
For the user registration I use the plugin Profile builder.

To accept students in every course, I would create a role for every course. Then with Profile builder, you can tell any page, post, or course, to be accesible only for a certain role.
Then you grant your user with the role of that specific course.
I’m trying to implement it now.
