[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Won’t cache pages and database :(
-
First of all, the plugin is awesome, thanks for creating it. It has speeded up my super-slow site on a not-so-fast server from F to D on YSlow and I thought that would be impossible. I had two suspensions due to high load this month and
Now, I have realised that it does not actually cache the pages and the database; and that gzip does not seem to work, either. I assume that would make things work even better. I also tried with memcached, but I got an error, mentioning the port.
I can provide my php info file (from what I can seen memcache and gzip are enabled) and the debug information, if that helps. I just don’t want to ask the hosting company anything before I know what to ask them.
If this matters:
– I have disabled two pages because they’re a product of integration between WordPress and Gallery2, via WPG2.– My hosting company doesn’t use cpanel based hosting.
– I chmod’ed subdirectories inside wp-content/w3tc to 777. I can put it back to 755 if that’s not a good idea.
And just to make sure: I tested all of this as a logged-out user.
