How to translate search field placeholder text

  • Where do I change the placeholder text of the input field for the search function?
    I can’t find it with Loco-translate.

    Loco Translate has two search fields that say “Filter…” and “Filter translations”. These are both found in Loco Translate’s own language files.

    WordPress core contains a translation Search … with context placeholder, but I cannot possibly say whether this is the one you are looking for.

    If you are asking about a search function in some other plugin, or in your theme then I can’t help you find it.
