I have put the link to the page, but the shop is not yet launched so it probably won’t be visible.

I have added subcategories to the parent categories in my shop, and in the WooCommerce customisation part I have enabled “Show sub-categories”. I have added products to the sub-categories and have removed them from the parent category, however, the subcategories do not show up within the parent, but the products just stay visible in the parent full list. This is what is happening in the picture boxes on the shop page. However in the product categories widget at the side, the sub categories work correctly. It will be confusing for the customer as in the main photo boxes (which are the main thing they will look at) the sub categories are not visible. Could this be to do with my theme? And any suggestion on how I fix it are very welcome.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Can you confirm if these are the same settings you have configured for the Product Catalog display? https://d.pr/i/vx6d2V

If that’s the case but the subcategories are still not showing, I’d recommend running a conflict test.

You’ll want to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront. Then, disable all plugins on the site except for WooCommerce, and test for the issue.

If the issue is gone, you’ll then have to re-enable features one by one, while testing for the issue; until you find out which one is causing this behavior.

We recommend that these steps are taken on a staging site, which is a clone of your live site that you can modify without risking making any permanent damage to your live site. You can create it using a plugin like WP-Staging: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/

This plugin lets you copy and redeploy a WordPress site with minimal work.

    Hello Fernando.

Yes, I can confirm that I have configured the product catalog the way shown in your first link. I will attempt to do as you suggest in the rest of your message. Thank you very much for your help.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

I am having a similar issue, I ran a conflict test and discovered it is the Divi theme that is preventing the sub categories from showing. The divi functions.php page has woocommerce support enabled on it but still no joy. any help will be a great help
