Unable to process payments with card that require payment authentication

    Hi there I am on the latest wordpress / woocommerce / stripe plugin
    and I am having issues when processing payments with card that require authentication.
    The orders fails. I tried Stripe test card 4000 0027 6000 3184 in test mode and order always fail, while the order goes through when using 4242 4242 4242 4242 card.

    Can you help me fix the issue ? I am in the EU as well as my customers.
    When using real cards, the order fails, then it goes thru on second attempts (probably the bank bypass the SCA 3d secure).
    I also tried activating radar in my stripe account but still does not work.

    Hi @cekaraz – I’ve tried testing with the ‘Authentication Required’ test card in Stripe, 4000 0027 6000 3184, but did not see the same issue.
    Upon submitting the credit card form, I’m given the following: https://d.pr/i/toC0wQ

    Did you also see the option to Accept or Fail the order when submitting?

    Hi @jricketts4, no I don’t get the pop up screen. A few times I got the pop-up screen flashing and then I get the order fail message. “Payment processing failed. Please retry.”

    However I do get the pop up screen if I process the payment using the stripe gateway checkout, (using another plugin). But I would like to avoid that because it breaks customer experience.

    Man, you gave me the hint. I have struggled with this for 2 days. I tried to regenerate the woocommerce database and now it’s all good !
