word or character count in frontend

    dear gutenberg-team,
    is it possible to display the word and/ or character count on the website (frontend)?
    some organisations need this information for defining the payment of the writers.

    Hi there,

    Currently there is no way to automate adding a word count on the front end. It should be possible to develop a custom block to do so, but it’s not expected to become Core functionality.
