error message translation does not work

    Hello,
    I have a problem with the translation of the “This field is required.” error message when clicking onto the send-button. I tried to created the desired german text “Das Feld ist erforderlich.” directly at the form configuration. Does not work. I tried it with WPML String Translation, but it does not work. I also tried to edit the .po /.mo files, but this didn’t work either. I also tried
    Contact Form 7 Translate Messages Extension and this also doesn’t fix my problem. I deactivated other plugins, but nothing. This problem is related to all forms on my site. Has anyone an idea how to get the german text error message?

    Why do you use such old versions?

    Hello Takayuki,

    we use such an old wp version cause there are some individual customized parts that have to be updated first. But no time for this right now.

    But this problem was still there as this wp version was nearly current. What could be the reason and how can I get the right translated error message?

    Hello Takayuki,

    I solved the problem. The reason was an old version of the plugin “Jquery Validation For Contact Form 7 (Lite)”. Now it works. Thanks for support.
