    Hi, David!

Access your site using a FTP client (Filezilla for eg.) go to wp-content/plugins and delete / rename the folder of the plugin that is causing this error (the one you updated).

    Hope this helps,
    Good luck!
    Vlad.

    Thanks for your reply, Vlad!
I tried with Filezilla, I couldn’t connect as I got the following error
Error: FATAL ERROR: Network error: Software caused connection abort
Error: Could not connect to server

Is this because of wrong login info or sth else.
    Thanks!

That error could be related to wrong credentials.

Do you have access to cPanel/your hosting panel? You can also go there to FileManager and delete the plugin.

I am pretty sure I have the correct credentials.
When I try to get access through the cPanel, I got “the login is invalid” error.
Will it be also possible due to the plugin update?

The plugin update is not likely to cause cPanel login errors.
You can contact your host provider and ask them to guide you to recover access to cPanel.

I have access to the cPanel again. The error message is as follows,
“PHP Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/public_html/wp-content/plugins/revslider/includes/functions.class.php on line 1025”

How should I fix the issue?
    Thanks much!

    Hi, @davidgg8!
I am glad you have access to cPanel again!

The quick fix for your error is to disable Revolution Slider Plugin. You can do that by renaming revslider folder to something else using a FTP client or via cPanel File Manager.

Since Slider Revolution is a commercial plugin, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations.

    https://www.sliderrevolution.com/help-center/

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

    Kind regards,
    Vlad.
