• 1. I sometimes see a flashing of the image as each new image appears in the main slider (or the slider doesn’t move smoothly);
    2. There is often a gap (large white space) between the top section (slider etc.) and next section down. This seems to ‘join up’ – the lower section moves up – after a couple of seconds.

    I’ve used Smush etc. to minimise file sizes etc. but I’m wondering if these glitches might somehow be related to loading speed issues. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

  • Hi @meerkitten

    It could be due to a faulty plugin on your site so I suggest once deactivating all the plugins and then checking the site. Then you can enable them one by one to detect the one causing the issue and then let me know. You can refer to this article for more information regarding this: https://docs.themegrill.com/knowledgebase/detecting-a-faulty-plugin/

    Do let me know if this works or if you’re still facing the issue!

    I’ll try this out. I’ll get back to you with any news. Were you able to see/replicate any sign of the issues I mentioned? Is plug-in incompatibility the only possible answer? (It couldn’t be server- or even theme-related in any way?) Thanks, @meerkitten

    Hi @meerkitten

    It could also be due to the Lazy loading feature that might be implemented within your site. If you have any of the Lazy Load plugin used within your site then, can you disable that and check once?

    Thanks again, Nidwija
    I disabled Lazy loading (a Smush feature). This appears to have improved loading a bit. I’m still noticing white flashing on some images in the slider, though less frequent than before I believe. It’s acceptable now, I think, though would be good to eliminate those final flashes too! You’re recommending I delete all plugins entirely as a test, still?

    Separate question: is there an easy way:
    1) to combine the static content of a Page with the design of the post/category pages, e.g. so that there are some fixed paragraphs or images in the top third of a page, followed by category content like the front page beneath the fixed content?
    2) to get different content in the right sidebar on different pages, rather than having the same as the front page?
    Sorry if these are basic questions. Thank you.

    Hi @meerkitten,

    Glad to know the solution did help you. Since while inspection, I couldn’t find any flashes so could you attach the screenshot point the issue so I can have a better understanding.

    1)Sorry, for now, we do not have the option to add any widgets beneath the fixed content.

    2) Yes, you can get different content in the right sidebar on different pages with the help of plugins. Please go through the article below.
