“Dafault” new user level

  • Can anyone tell me what the default level for new user created accounts is? I do not want users to be able to post so I am presumint that the level should be “0”. However, I want them to be able to commen. Will they still be able to comment at a “0” level?

  • New Users start at zero.

    Anyone can comment on a blog unless you have taken other measures against that by using plugins / hacks.

    The level for newly created accounts is 0. As for comments, are you using something to enforce comments only from users?

    Since I know very little about this at this point, I cant tell you if I’m “using something” or not beyond the default settings which seem to “hold” comments pending approval by an admin.

    You’d know if you were ??

    As it stands then, I could register on your blog, but aside from being able to login and see a few basic details (what’s on the user page for instance), I’d be limited in what I could see / do.

    I could comment freely though.
