    Hello!

I’m new with this plugin and I have doubts about how it works.

    1. How is the tracking number created? The provider gives it to me and I have to include it in the order manually, or is it automatic? If it’s not automatic, is there a way to make it so?

    2. I would like to know if the client receives the emails in their language and if they don’t, is there a way to do it?

    3. I don’t really understand how TrackShip integration works, is it necessary? What does TrackShip integration offer me that AST doesn’t?

    Thank you for your help!

    Best regards!
    Patricia

    Hi @patriquin

    1. The tracking number is created by the shipping provider you use, it depends which service you use, basically, you get the tracking number and need to add it manually, you can also import from CSV in bulk or use the API to update the tracking from external shipping services. Also, the AST is compatible with many shipping services or that we have Pro add-ons for getting the tracking info automatically into AST’s Shipment Tracking meta, and we will add more in the near future.
    2. The emails are not sent by AST, they are sent by WooCommerce, AST is adding the tracking info into the order email and the tracking section is translation ready.
    3. AST lets you add the tracking information to orders and adds them to the order emails with a link to track their order on the shipping provider website. Once you mark the order is shipped, the cycle ends. TrackShip seamlessly connects to your store and works inside the WooCommerce ecosystem, when you ship an order, it will auto-track the orders until they delivered to the customers and will proactively update your orders with any shipment status changes, it can automatically set you order status as delivered and you can direct your customers to a Tracking page on your store and send automated shipment status and delivery notifications. TrackShip allows you to to provide “Amazon” style post-purchase experience to your customers.

    Hello @zorem !!

Thank you so much for the quick answer. So…

    1. If I want to have the tracking info automatically I need a Pro add-ons. Which one do you offer?

    2. I don’t understand this very well… I asked you a few weks ago in the pre-sales chat if it was compatible with WPLM and you said “yes”… So, for what can I use this WPLM plugin with yours? Not with the emails? How can I have the emails in the customer’s language?

    3. Mmmm I don’t undertand it very well, sorry. I thought that with the order number link, customers could check the status on the provider’s website, am I wrong? This integration then… is to send more emails about this status?

Thank you so much for your help and patience and sorry for the inconveniencies, everthing is in English and is not my language ??

    Best regards!

    1. it depends on the shipping service you are using to create the shipping labels (tracking numbers)
    2. Hi, you are asking about WC email and translation, you will need to check it with your developer but the WC emails are not sent by the plugin, they are sent by WooCommerce.
    3. Yes, AST allows you to send tracking info to the customers but it does automatically track the orders.. you can read about all the features and info on TrackShip
