Slider revolution not displaying preview only when a certain theme is active.

  • Hi i am using slider revolution for my theme and everytime i create a slider, i am unable see a preview of the slider. The preview does not load and displays a blank screen with the options to view the preview screen via the different device types.

    On selecting preview, i had the F12 command open on the browser that displays any errors, there it states the following when I select the preview:

    Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(…).setLightbox is not a function

    The theme developer is not helping because they are requesting a pay them a ‘customisation support’ fee and now have completely ignored the number of times i have commented on their profile page on themeforest.net.

    Can someone here kindly provide some assistance as i have been stuck for 4 weeks trying to get it worked. This slider revolution error does not occur when another theme is activated, it previews the slide as it should be so I am confident it is something to do with the theme’s inherently script files.

    Because you’re using a commercial plugin, please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

    Hi steven. Firstky thank you for replying. This plugin came as part of the theme. I have reached out to slider revolution and they ahve advised i go back to the developer, who are being unprofessional about the situation.

    Slider revolution’s response:

    since changing the theme does solve the issue concerning the no-show of preview in our plugin and that the console error is not in our code we cannot help you, unfortunately.”

    As stated, Godady also confirmed that its the theme that needs fixing, but the developer just will not answer me. They are actually removing it from their themeforest page. Others have also complained but since they have and active ‘customisation support’ subscription active, they have had it resolved. Mkne expired but I don’t need support to customise the them because thats not the issue. I beleive Something needs to be amended in order fornthe slider revolution to display preview when this specific theme is active, error does not occur on multiple other themes I’ve tested it with.

    I have also disbaled all other plugins to ensure there is not a conflict.

    It seems you’re kind of stuck. As noted above, we don’t support commercial products here. You may need to purchase additional support for your theme. Given that the developer seems to be dropping it, it might be a better idea to find a different theme and/or slider plugin.
