E-mail background colour keeps changing

    Hello
    A client of mine gets a lot of orders on his woocommerce shop, for himself he always prints out the “new order e-mail”. I modified the layout so it only has the necessary details because he wants to save on inkt.

    Under the e-mail settings I also changed the background colour to #ffffff, so it’s white. But still when he receives the e-mail the background is a bit grayish, which still causes them to use a lot of ink. I have a feeling this gray is the default #f7f7f7 colour. But I don’t understand why it’s not just white. Here’s a screenshot https://prnt.sc/vusy37 where you can see the difference between the normal white and then where the email starts.

    If I leave the colour field blank it stays the same. Anyone with an idea on how to get a white background in my email?

    Hi there,

    Can you share a screenshot of the email settings under **WooCommerce > Status**, a copy of the status report under **WooCommerce > Status**, as well as uploading the HTML generated for that email to a site like https://gist.github.com (and then pasting the link here)?

    As you can see in it, it does use the default f7f7f7 as background colour instead of #ffffff

    Ugh, I’m sorry – I meant **WooCommerce > Settings > Emails** ??

    Looking at the status report and HTML markup, I’m seeing the following:

    • WooCommerce is quite outdated: Is there any reason for not updating?
    • There’s a email customisation plugin installed – So any settings found under **WooCommerce > Settings > Emails** would be complemented by the settings in that plugin (which I believe is configured under Customizer?)
    • The HTML markup does indeed included #f7f7f7 and there’s no mention of #ffffff

    Based on everything mentioned so far, my prime suspicion lies with that 3rd party plugin – Are you seeing “pure” white in the emails after disabling that temporarily?

    Thank you very much for replying so fast. I never thought about checking the old e-mails and they are fine then. So it’s like you said, I used a plugin to customize the the e-mails. Eventough over there everything is also said on white, that will be the culprit.

    Reason for not updating is that on this shop we developed a connection between our ERP software and woocommerce using the API. Everything is running smoothly with how the set-up is right now, so we don’t want to change it and risk certain things not working anymore. But it’s definitely on my to do list to test everything with the latest versions. ??
