Adding New Galleries

I am trying to set up my galleries. I have quite a few of them. Now I am trying to rename the gallery I just added. But the gallery name is right on top of the place where I click to create a new gallery, so I am unable to rename it. Is there a limit to how many galleries I can have? And if not, how do I add more with that button in the way?
