How to check if cookie blocking is working

I was just wondering how I can check if cookie blocking is working when the user rejects non-necessary cookies. I checked the cookies in Chrome with Inspect, but I see the same cookies regardless of the consent choice for non-necessary cookies including one NID cookie from google.com. The only difference is the value of the cookielawinfo-checkbox-non-necessary cookie, which is either yes or no. However, shouldn’t I see different cookies (I also use Google Analytics) depending on user’s choice for non-necessary cookies? How can I make sure that everything is set right and cookies are blocked or allowed when it is necessary depending on user’s choice? Thank you for your help.
