Google doesn’t index tags

Hi,

Do you want your tags to be indexed in the search results? Or do you want to intentionally mark it as ‘noindex’ and to not show in the search results?

We do know you can customize the sitemap index to control which sub-sitemaps (such as tag sitemaps) are appearing. If you set a particular taxonomy such as your tags to not show in the search results (noindex), they will also be removed from the sitemap accordingly. As for any concerns with Yandex, would it be possible for you to provide more information and a screenshot of what issues you are having with the sitemap generated by the Yoast SEO plugin? The screenshot you have shared with us from the Google Search Console sitemap section isn’t showing us whether you have submitted the sitemap index or submitted each of the sitemaps individually.

If you haven’t submitted the sitemap index, we recommend you please submit the sitemap_index.xml instead of manually submitting all the sitemaps individually.

However, if you have already submitted the sitemap_index.xml and Google Search Console isn’t detecting the post tag sitemap, that’s probably because Google hasn’t recrawled the entire sitemap for your website recently. Once Google recrawls the entire sitemap, the post tag sitemap will appear in Google Search Console for you.
