WordPress 5.6 – WordPress 5.6–en_US

  • I am seeing the update to WP 5.6 but it is showing WordPress 5.6–en_US instead of GB. Is this correct?

    Can you clarify where you are seeing that?

    It’s possible the language pack for the GB locale was still being prepared. If you’re not seeing any available language pack updates in a few hours, it may be an issue. But they should show up shortly.

    Yeah, I’ve seen it on another install mate. Must have been a temp issue.

    You can always update to -en_US
    if there are translations made, they will be downloaded,
    so your language settings and translations will be kept.

    However, if translations are yet incomplete, you will get some untranslated strings ( This does not happen and really matter for en_GB, but can matter for other locale users)
