    As a first step, please try completely reinstalling Jetpack. Your site’s stats and subscribers are stored on our servers – they won’t be lost during a reinstall. Details here:

    If you still see this error message after reinstalling Jetpack, it’s likely that your hosting provider is either blocking outbound requests, or is incapable of securing outbound requests (HTTPS). The error is telling us that your site is not able to connect to WordPress.com via HTTPS. In either case, your hosting provider would be the best source of help – only they can fix this.
