If you’d like, you can install this example plugin and replace /123456789/a4a/amp_story_dfp_example with your slot ID from Ad Manager.

To insert ads through Ad Inserter Pro, they would need to set up their own ad server that works with Web Stories. The process is detailed here: https://github.com/ampproject/amphtml/blob/master/extensions/amp-story-auto-ads/publisher-served-ads.md

So it does not look like Ad Manager can only be used for direct sold ads at this time. Is that correct?

Also, I’m not seeing where/how to setup Ad Exchange in Ad Manager even though I’m the administrator.

Please know I was ‘deeply’ interested in getting Web Stories to work with Ad Manager/Ad Exchange based on your recommendation to @pbelushi

I’m highly focused on Web Stories and we have had amazing productivity with our stories so getting assistance to help monetization our stories using your recommendations.

Is it even possible to use Ad Manager or other ‘Best Practices’ for the Google WS Plugin.

Any insight/thoughts/help would be most appreciated.

As mentioned, we are working on direct integrations for Google Ad Manager and Google AdSense in the plugin, making it super straightforward for you to monetize your Web Stories in the very near future.

Just note that programmatic demand in Web Stories is still in beta for Ad Manager, so it might not be available in your network just yet.

@pbelushi Hi there! Built-in support for AdSense & Ad Manager has been added in the newest version 1.3.0 of Web Stories for WordPress!

The configuration option is available in the Stories > Settings > Monetization field. You will need to select an ad network and then enter your publisher ID and ad slot ID.
