I have the plugin installed and activated. I keep trying to create an additional tab on my products page using this plugin. I follow all the proper steps (outlined below). However, the content text I am adding is not appearing on my products page. Instead it is duplicating the information which is listed under my Specifications tab (previously named “Description” tab. So essentially, the text data is mirrored under my new tab “Included Items” by what is under my “Specifications” tab and does not allow any editing under any of the tabs except for the “Specifications” tab.

    1. With CSS Code I changed my “Description” Tag to name “Specifications”
    2. Then created new custom tab for Product by:
-Under “Product Data” section > select “Custom Tabs”
    – I added Tab Title “Included Items”
    – Then I added text (NOT DISPLAYING).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @jladkins0824

What theme are you using? Some themes block our tabs from being added to the product template.

    Thank you.

    I am using Astra theme.

    Hi @jladkins0824,

Unfortunately, I was unable to reproduce the problem on a local environment running the Astra theme.

Something is most likely interacting with the woocommerce_product_tabs hook, which is what our plugin uses to add the custom tabs. Do you see any references to that in your site files? It would most likely be in your theme-name/functions.php file.

    Thanks,
    Jon

The woocommerce_product_tabs hook is not in my theme/functions.php file. I looked in other site files as well and could not find it. The only place I can find it is when I go to “Plugin Editor” and then I see the product tab plugin information.

I am so frustrated because my client paid me to make his site and I cannot complete it until this situation is fixed.

    Hi @jladkins0824,

I understand your frustration, and I’m sorry that you’re having trouble. I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem, but I may be able to help you troubleshoot.

The usual way of troubleshooting conflicts is as follows:

    1. Switch your theme to one of the core themes, such as 2020 or 2021.
    2. Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and Custom Tabs for WooCommerce
    3. Make sure our plugin is working in this state. If it does, you know there’s a conflict.
    4. Re-enable your theme, check if it works. If not, the conflict is with your theme.
    5. Start re-enabling plugins until you find the one that breaks it.

Once you know where the conflict is, you can make a plan for what to do next.

Let me know if you have any questions,

    Jon

So through the process of elimination, it turns out that the Woocommerce custom tabs plugin does not function properly when I have the “Elementor” plugin activated. It had nothing to do with the theme. Do you have any idea why it would not work with Elementor? I purchased this plugin and can’t use it. Any help is much appreciated.

    Hi @jladkins0824,

That makes sense, page builders will often override certain core features of WordPress and WooCommerce to allow them to do what they do.

We actually have a brief article on this topic. There is a setting you can enable that causes our plugin to behave differently in an attempt to remain compatible with page builders. I can’t guarantee it will work, but it’s worth a shot.

Let me know if that helps,

    Jon

    Hi @jladkins0824,

    Glad to hear it!
