html disappears from divs

  • In the HTML editor I insert <div align=”center”> … </div>
    and Update my Page. Everything is aligned center.

    I change text on the same page and Update the page. The previously centered stuff is no longer centered and the align=”center” is gone from the <div> tag.

    Any ideas?

  • Did you use the Visual Editor when editing the post the second time? Don’t switch between the two tabs. If you’ve used the HTML tab to create/edit a post, you need to stick with the HTML tab when re-editing that post. Otherwise the Visual Editor will remove all of your previous markup.
