    Hi

I updated a site to the latest version last week:
    https://www.bricklayers-arms.co.uk

But now the Quick Edit link on the Posts/Pages main screen and the Edit button for post date from the individual post edit screen don’t work.

The links are visible, but clicking them has no effect.

Is a bit of the installation messed up somewhere? Everything else seems fine…

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-running the upgrade via Admin/Tools?

I’ve checked plugins and reset the plugins folder, with no change.

I’ll try the theme and a new upgrade….

OK, it’s not the theme either.

I can’t get the auto-upgrade to work. It didn’t work initially, I had to do it manually. It just hangs at the ‘downloading’ stage…

    Try adding:

    AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

to the top of the .htaccess file in your root WP folder. That may fix your upgrade hanging problem. In the meantime, try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thanks, that fixed the upgrade problem but not the issue with the quick edit.

Then another thought hit me… it was Adblock Plus on Firefox that was causing the problem!

There must have been either a small change in WordPress or an update to Adblock Plus that caused an issue. I’ve disabled it for my web domain and all is dandy…

I also had a problem with the quick edit function, and after adding the line of code Esmi suggested, my problem got worse. The web link that I am having problems with is the post area.

    https://utrashed.com/wp-admin/edit.php

After I tried taking away the code, just like it was before when I did the change, it still stayed that way, a bunch on info all mixed up on a page.

    Please help, thank you.

I worked with it a bit, and found a solution. But I am still working through this quick edit problem. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thank you.
