My site’s galleries run on Justified image grid (JIG) from Codecanyon. Shortpixel Adaptive images do not recognize the thumbnails as well as the images inside the lightbox on this plugin. For thumbnail generation it unfortunately uses timthumb.

Is there a way to get these plugins to play nice?

    Hi @willpursell ,

It looks like there could be a conflict with another plugin. Could you please have a read at this article to make sure everything is in order?

    Thank you!

I had the same problem. I contacted the developers of JIG and got the following response:

Hi, At the moment JIG is not compatible with tools that replace images, they aren’t supposed to catch them. The gallery is built with JS with thumbnails generated on the fly. We’ll likely add webp support and/or change how galleries are initialized so these tools could intercept the thumbnails if on the fly thumbnail generation is turned off. No ETA on these yet.

Not what we wanted to hear but suggests it’s not worth spending more time and energy trying to resolve the issue at this point in time.
