[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Events for today show up as “past”

    Sorry, it’s me again.

    I have added three events for today, two of them scheuled for 10pm.

    However, since about 4.00pm (GMT), these events are no longer shown on the ?upcoming page — all events for today are shown as “past” events now. I have double-checked my date&time settings to no avail, so I’m pretty much stuck.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hi fehnman,

    We have an open bug on this issue and I have added your comments to that bug. We should be basing the time of the events on the wordpress time zone setting or allow you to specify a time zone when scheduling events but currently I believe we are using the time zone of the hosting server.

    Oh, I see. Thanks for getting back, I assume there’s nothing I can do on my part to fix this issue? Like… say… add a “+600” or such someplace in the code?

    Yeah…I’m having the same issue. Would love to know if you find a quick hack. I’m running this on a theater website and it’s imperative I get this fixed.

    I have the same problem. The next day’s upcoming events become today’s events 4 hours too early. I thought it was because the plug-in was hard wired to GMT or something. This explains it.

    I am having this issue as well and I have 1.5.6 installed.

    This plugin is wonderful except for events scheduled for today are not showing up in my List, they seemed to be considered in the Past by mistake.

    Thanks to some specific bug reporting and a donation from Elliot at Lowell.com, this has finally been resolved. We have patched it in the 1.6 release.
