Ok, I wanted to add an events calendar to the blog, but have no idea how to do it. I have dreamweaver and know basics how to use it.
There is a lot of help on plugins, but since I am trying to learn this from scratch, all the help articles I found were missing where to start after downloading the plugin.

I have downloaded the calendar plugin into the downloads folder, but have no idea where to go from there.

Any help to get me started would be great. I am trying to get this set up for my mom’s non profit organization.

I know this is obvious to most of you, but I have no experience in this stuff.

Did you upload the folder for the plugin from your pc into the plugin folder on your web server? Just copy the whole folder into the plugins folder. Then you should be able to see it and activate it through the WP admin.

Actually, if you go straight into the Plugins screen of wp-admin, you should be able to click “Add a Plugin”, search for the one you want, and install it without messing with any downloading or uploading.
