    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Can you please confirm what you have set as the category base/product category base in WordPress > Settings > Permalinks? A screenshot will be helpful

    Hello,

    Clearly, your permalinks include index.php but this is not added by the Yoast SEO plugin. You can confirm by deactivating the plugin temporarily to check.

    Is there any reason why you’ve added index.php to your permalinks? This isn’t good for your SEO. You may want to check the suggestions provided in this article if you decide to remove index.php from your permalinks. Before making any changes to your live site, we’d recommend implementing and testing them on a staging site first.

    Thanks.

    Hi.. I did not add an index.php in the permalinks. Actually, the Only pages on which this Bug appears, are Product-Tag Pages inn the Woocommerce realm.
    They appear to not only produce false Meta tags (OG Tags) but also wrong canonicals,
    <link rel=”canonical” href=”https://cbdkaufen.com/index.php/product-tag/mct-oel/” />
    Please look at i.e. https://cbdkaufen.com/product-tag/1000mg-cbd
    This page generates a false Canonical (it is not auto-referencing as it should be, it references an index.php site, which is routed to the original)
    – and then it creates a wrong OG meta as well.

    I have manually created dozens of “real Canonicals” now in order to get the failures reduced, but the issue still remains: it is buggy -and i still get wrong og metas

    Can you please perform the following and see if it fixes the canonicals?

    – Reset your permalink structure from the WordPress permalink settings and save the permalink settings without changing anything.

    If the issue persists, reset the indexables migrations & tables by using the Yoast Test Helper plugin.

    – Go to Tools → Yoast Test → Yoast SEO → Reset indexables tables & migrations options to reset it.

    – Rerun the indexables analysis from the Yoast SEO → Tools → Optimize SEO Data → then click on “Start SEO data optimization”

    Please let us know the result.

    ??
    finally.. you are my heroes of the day.. thanks after
    the rerun

    – the indexables analysis from the Yoast SEO → Tools → Optimize SEO Data → then click on “Start SEO data optimization”

    It is finally showing the way as expected:
    i.e:
    https://cbdkaufen.com/product-tag/hanfoel
    has neither an inndex.php nor trailing slash in both canonical AND / or OG Meta:

    <link rel="canonical" href="https://cbdkaufen.com/product-tag/hanfoel" />
    	<meta property="og:locale" content="de_DE" />
    	<meta property="og:type" content="article" />
    	<meta property="og:title" content="Hanf?l Archive - cbdkaufen.com" />
    	<meta property="og:url" content="https://cbdkaufen.com/product-tag/hanfoel" />

    many thanks @suascat_wp & @maybellyne !!! you made my day
