You have to edit your theme slightly for the comments plugin to work. See the readme.txt file for instructions on how to do this.

It’s also in the FAQ: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/simple-facebook-connect/faq/

I am a newbie at this, and very nervous about doing something wrong. I dont think i would dare to edit the theme file by my self…

    Well, I dared! ??

    But it still complains:

    Configuration errors:
To fix this error, please set your Connect URL in the application settings editor. Once it has been set, users will be redirected to that URL instead of this page after logging in.

I dont understand what to do…

Your Facebook Application isn’t fully configured, somehow. When I try it, it says it’s “under construction”.

    Go here: https://www.facebook.com/developers/apps.php

Finish configuring the Facebook Application. If you need help, I have a blog post about doing it here:

Thanks for the link to your blog. It helped me out.

Now i have two more questions:

    1. I would like to translate the button “Connect with Facebook”, but i cant find it anywhere in the image folder. Is it possible? How can i do it?

    2. I would also like to translate the pop-up window
“Connect V?nsterpartiet Flen with Facebook to interact with your friends on this site and to share on Facebook through your Wall and friends’ News Feeds.”

Is that somewhere on Facebook? Do you know where to find it?

Internationalization with Facebook stuff is a per-Application thing.

    Read more about it here:
    https://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Internationalization

I already include the necessary fb:intl tags in the plugin, so all you have to do is to setup your FB Application for translation, and translate appropriately.

    Hi,

I followed the procedure, but I don’t find any translation for this button specifically & my application is set up in French, and there is no language bits to translate for the button specifically..

Got it : the text of the button is actually hardcoded in the plugin.
Check for “fb:login” in the comments plugin

Yes, it’s hardcoded, but the text of the button is actually surrounded with the <fb:intl> tags already. All you have to do to “translate” it is to activate your translation language on the translations dashboard, then translate the strings.
