shortcode for subscribe on checkout

I’ve recently begun a migration to mailpoet and so far I’m pretty happy. One issue I’m having is that the checkbox on the woocommerce checkout page does not appear. The text to subscribe does appear but there is no check box and no way to subscribe.
This is also true when I try to do this with the add-on woocommerce mailpoet 3 plugin so I think it is a conflict with my theme. But it is still annoying because 1) this is not an issue I had with mailchimp and 2)my theme seems to want me to use a shortcode to add subscribe on checkout, but there doesn’t seem to be a mailpoet shortcut for this.
Has anyone else run into this issue or do you have any ideas or help?
