This morning I tried to install UpdraftPlus again.

This generated an email from WordPress saying “If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.”

When I click on this link the page says “Recovery Mode not initialized”.

And when i try to login into the admin it says “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” (which obvioulsy takes me round in a loop!)

I have tried logging in via the WordPress.com log in page, which says that the user name does not exist (I was definately using the right email address) so I ham completely stuck.

To add insult to injury the website is down.

I’m on the verge of hysteria!!!!

    Thanks for any help
