    Hi,

I have imported a starter site and was trying to customize the header with my logo, but all it ever did was display the site name even though I have clicked the right setting for displaying only the logo (not the site name or tagline). After this I have deleted some plugins I wasn’t using (Oceanwp plugins and sticky header plugins) and the header completely disappeared, now it is just a large black rectangle with no way of making any changes to it. I have tried importing other starter sites but the header was broken in all of them. Any help would be appreciated.

If all else fails, even just importing the original starter site correctly would be great.

    Thank you!

  • Hi @angiegreen,

    Thanks for using Neve.

It’s a bit complicated to pinpoint the issue with seeing it, could you share the URL of the website where it exists?

Could you also share the screenshot of how the Header looks in Customizer?

    Thanks!

    Hi @bvytis ,

The website isn’t live yet, but here’s a screenshot of the Customizer: https://ibb.co/qxt8TXK
As you can see, the whole header is just black. If I scroll down, I can see the rest of the site just fine.

I tried changing the theme, but now the header won’t work anywhere else either and in the other themes it just displays the code on a black background.

    Hi @angiegreen,

That’s really weird and if it doesn’t work with other themes too – there should be something wrong with the WordPress instance that you have, maybe there is some file missing so you might want to reset your WordPress and start again or ask your hosting provider to check what files of WordPress could be missing.
