Not working at all?

Thank you for the plugin and best wishes for 2021!

Unfortunately, this plugin isn’t working for me. It’s been a while but I’m finally trying to take care of that issue.
Using Customizr theme, seems like there should be compatibility optimizations, maybe these cause the issue, I don’t know.

I’ve set this page as a 404 page.

But when triggering a 404 error, I’m still getting the default WP 404 page…

Server logs show a regular 404 error (no fanciness here).
I am running the website under a Plesk server with PHP 7.4 and WordPress Toolkit, so I’ve tried disabling security enhancements of the WP Toolkit, without any positive change. Of course, WP and all scripts are at their latest versions.
I’ve also tried disabling suspect plugins (BBPress and BuddyPress which I suspect could impact URL handling), but no help.

Not sure where to look for in order to diagnose/resolve this, as there is no error in logs whatsoever.

Any help appreciated, so that I can add even more love and fanciness to my 404 page!
