Slow loading pages

  • Hi,

    My website has been working well with no major issue for over month since i moved to private hosting with upcloud.

    Since last Friday, i have been experiencing inconsistent loading times. Sometimes a page would load in 1.5 second then a min later it takes 40 secondes

    I Also noticed that loading page time sometimes may differ from a device to another

    Moreover everything seems to work fine when testing the website on platforms such as gmetrix or google speedlight with B grade and more. All this said, these platforms only connect from Europe or US. I connect from Tunisia. So may be the issue is just local.

    I’m clueless as i don’t identify any pattern here. The only pattern i see is that it is getting worse by the hour.

    Have anyone experienced the same issue?

    Nb:? I have already tried deactivating all plugings and it did not ameliorate the situation
    ? Server provider said that all was working well from their side

  • Hello,

    Could you confirm if you are using any cache plugin on your website? If yes, try to deactivate it and see if the loading speed will be normal.

    You can also tell a few friends to access your website and see if everything works as it ought to.

    If everything is fine from their end, the problem could be with your device. In this case, you might want to clear your browser cache.

    Thanks for your response.

    I have already asked several friends and collegues who work with me on the subject.

    Their feedback is extremely inconsistent with no patter at all…

    The only thing is that the issue is just local when i connect from Tunisia. When i test with gtmertix who connect from Vancouvert Canada. I have garde A with very fast loading times

    You mentioned deactivating all plugins, did you use the WordPress default theme during the troubleshooting?

    Perhaps maybe the fault could be from your theme

    Additionally: Your website seems to load fine from my end here

    Hi Tunde,

    Website is slow only specifically from Tunisia and from some specific networks. I’m really don’t know what to do. Do you think it could be the theme?

    You might try putting your site behind a content distribution network (CDN) like Cloudflare to get more consistent trans-national results.

    It is slow, however. Are you using any caching/optimization plugins?

    Yes i’m using nitropack for cashing.

    From when i’m connecting Tunisia loading page time varies from network to another. It is very strange. When connecting from Europe everything works well

    Have you heard about an issue like that before?

    That’s the thing. It is most probably an issue with the ISP.

    Shall i change the location of my server for? From Spain to US for example?
