Burned-In Text & SEO
-
Hi, I have a question about using images created in other sites (i.e. Canva) and uploading them to Web Stories.
I’ve tried using the Web Stories plugin and, sorry, it’s really user unfriendly and not intuitive at all. I gave up trying to make pictures on there and went to Canva where I can create images and videos much more easily.
I’ve uploaded these (as images) to Web Stories and posted these, but I see in your FAQs that ‘burned-in’ text (i.e. text I added in Canva) won’t be understood by search engines and will impact SEO.
Can you confirm:
1 – when you plan to improve the plugin so that people can use it more easily?
2 – the impact of uploading images with ‘burned-in’ text?I don’t understand how Google isn’t able to scan the text in an image when plenty of other sites / search engines seem perfectly capable of doing it.
Will these images not feature because I used a 3rd party to create them and added text there?
