    With the newest update, I am getting a message, “Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.”

    I am using WordPress Version 5.6, and the plugin shows only compatible up to 5.5.3.

    Is this a mistake?

    No, it is because in the readme.txt file the Tested up to filed has not been updated yet when you checked.
