• I have a WordPress multisite with three sites on it. It was on a dev url so I tried moving it to the clients urls. I followed the standard steps.

The sites are to be all on different domains rather than sub domains. Everything seemed to be fine and the parent site is in the correct place https://taranakicivilconstruction.co.nz/ but now I can’t access anything off that one site. i.e. network admin > sites. I also can not access plugins. When I try to access these things it redirects me to the old url.

I have searched and changed all relevant fields in my database.

Has anyone had this issue / can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Many thanks,

  • You’ll need to contact your webhost for help with that login screen… that is not a WordPress page but maybe they can help you from there to get you into your website itself.

I did notice you are a designer… Are you trying to host your client sites yourself?

A few more details might help us help you further.

Hi JNash, Thanks for getting back to me.

Sorry, I don’t think I have been clear.

I am not concerned with login screen. That is there because the site is not supposed to be publicly viewable yet. This showing up means that the parent site is there and working fine.

The issue is in the backend. There are three sites on a multisite. The parent site is working fine but neither of the child sites seem to be mapped. Also when I try and go to network admin > sites or network admin > plugins it tries to load the old url which obviously isn’t pointing anywhere any more.

    Does this make sense?

Multisite with three sites – parent site is working fine, child sites are not working, all backend urls for the super user i.e. plugins, sites, etc. are going to the old url.

    Thanks ??
