@daniele280271 Thanks for your message and we’re sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties with the plugin.

We understand that you are receiving a message of ‘You’ve used this keyphrase 2 times before.’ in the SEO analysis for one of your pages, but when you click the link to see the other pages using the keyphrase, it sends you to a page where none are listed. Is that correct?

If so, if you clear your cache (server, plugin/theme, browser, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider. We have information on how to clear your browser cache at the following link: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/

Hi thanks for being so quick.
browser cache is not the problem unfortunately, any other idea?
what you mean to clean th plug in cache?

    Cheers

@daniele280271 Thanks for your reply. We’ve identified several concerns in your message and responded to each below:

what you mean to clean th plug in cache?

It’s very common for WordPress sites to use a caching plugin (such as W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, WP Rocket, and many others) as well as it being common for hosting providers to provide their own WordPress caching systems. We are recommending that if you are using one of these plugins or solutions to first attempt to clear the cache of these.

browser cache is not the problem unfortunately, any other idea?

Can you please check and see whether when using the following link if you are shown the other pages where the keyphrase in question is being used?:

So i reply your two notes:

    1) on this website i do not have any cache plug in at all.

    2) yes i can see your link.
that page is exactly the page where I used that keyword: so only ONE time.

Thanks again, hope to solve it soon.
I have also another different page with the same problem, wanna see it as well?

    @daniele280271

The aforementioned link provided by @devnihil should show you the page where the same focus keyphrase was used. You need to edit that page and optimize the focus keyphrase separately. Alternatively, you can try by wrapping up the relevant focus keyphrase using double quotes e.g. “focus-keyphrase” and that might drop the relevant alert for you.

    Hi again
that page shown it’s not the page where the SAME word has been used, it is the ONLY page where it has been used.
Also, if you see the slug, I cannot use “venice diving”
    https://ibb.co/fHS378n

But it creates “venice diving 2” when actually there is no other page with that slug.

So i dont know what to do
    Thanks

    @daniele280271

    1. Previously used keyphrase

We understand it is the only page where the focus keyphrase has been used.

We want to give it a next try. If your site is up-to date and is using the latest version (15.6.2), please try the following to reindex the Yoast SEO data on your site:

    – Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    – Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
    – Click the “Reset indexables & migrations” button
    – Go to SEO -> Tools and under SEO data, click the “Speed up your site” button.

    2. I cannot use “venice diving”

We understand it creates slug “venice-diving-2” not “venice-diving”. Could you please check Trash in your admin that a similar page “venice-diving” already exists? If so delete it and recreate a new page.

    Hi again
    Still no results.
Both home pages in Italian and English with different keywords are still telling me that those 2 words are both used twice.

    1. Previously used keyphrase
    ………..
    – Go to SEO -> Tools and under SEO data, click the “Speed up your site” button.

I just found to data optimize and I did it

@daniele280271 Thanks for your reply. Regarding not being able to use the ‘venice diving’ keyphrase/slug, if you have already checked your site’s trash in both the pages and posts area, it’s also possible that the slug is in use by another URL such as a category.

If a category were titled the same (venice-diving), it would prevent a top level page from using that URL as well, and append a -2 to it in the same way. Can you please check whether anything else might be using the URL such as a category, or some other type of taxonomy or custom type?

    I checked everywhere already

If you wish I can create a temp login and you can double check.

    Hi,

We’d need to investigate this issue further as it looks like it might be something specific to your site but we are unable to do so publicly via these forums (such as requesting for temporary logins). You might want to consider availing of a Yoast SEO Premium + Academy subscription so we can help check this further and provide premium support.

    Thread Starter daniele280271

    (@daniele280271)

    I understand.
Can we try a different way before I subscribe the premium support?

    Hi,

Based on your screenshots, it looks like you are using a third-party page builder plugin or custom theme box to add your content. We do know it’s possible that the content analysis may not be accurate since the page builders build on top of the standard WordPress editor — https://yoast.com/help/is-the-plugin-compatible-with-xyz-visual-page-builder/

Otherwise, we also recommend trying to check your other posts, pages, custom post types, categories, or any other sections of content where you’ve added a focus keyphrase and try to check and locate as to where you’ve possibly used the keyphrase ‘venice diving’ before on your website.

    Thread Starter daniele280271

    (@daniele280271)

    Hi again,
the problem is that when I asked support from the theme forum, they told me to ask you and now viceversa so no one could solve my issues.
I do not use any other page builder. just the theme.

Can I uninstall yoast plug and the re-install it or will I loose all the meta data?

I still believe that this mistake happened because one day I deleted and redone the home pages several times because of polylang issues. Something must have stayed hidden “underground” and now it’s impossible to delete it.

    Moreover
if I go to the slug
    https://www.venicediving.com/en/venice-diving/
in order to check where is actually the page/post with the original slug I found an image. So the image it might be another way to solve the issue?

another question, to give you temp access: the only way it’s with the premium support?

    Thanks
