• Hi,
Are there any readily usable themes out there that support the use of content dynamically to the domain a visitor goes to?

    Let me clarify:
We have 2 independent but identical websites that show the same content but with a different business name, logo and default language. I would very much like to have only one website, with a mapped second domain, that shows the correct logo dependent on the domain name that is used to visit the site. If possible also the correct language would need to be pre-selected.

We have a German and a Dutch website, that are identical, except for these things. For both websites I am currently maintaining 3 different languages and a product database that consists of about 400 items. That is a lot of double work!

    Thanks!

  • That would not be the job of the theme.
But you could make a child theme to add some filters to the logo and site title and language. Or make it a mu-plugin instead, so you can freely change themes.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I suppose a mu-plugin means Multi User?
Fact is that these logo’s should be dependent before a user logs in (in fact we don’t have users that log in an all).

No, mu-plugins are Must Use. They are in their own folder, and loaded before regular plugins. There is no interface for them in the admin. You simply put it in the folder to have it run, or delete it to make it not run.
