Set variable product as simple product

I added a link to a random product with a variable “price”.

Is it possible to set in the functions.php to force the “product” schema to use the “simple product” options?

While I have variable products, the main item is still the same price. It’s more of an “addon” to the product they pay extra for, so I don’t want the item to show as:
$2.00 – $3.00 on Google results. The item is still the same price, they can just add more to it.

I added a new “price” and “high price” field to the product schema I’ve assigned to all products. But High Price stays as default number and Google ignores Price when there is a Low Price and High Price.

Being able to have the Schema plugin to see “variable products” as a “simple product” would solve all my issues (I can add the missing variables via the Schema Settings). Is there a line of code I can add to functions.php?
