• Please help… according to PageSpeed Insights my Preload Key Requests was “estimated savings” at 2.8. The culprit URL’s were given as?…webfonts/fa-solid-900.woff2?…fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.7.0?…webfonts/fa-brands-400.woff2?

I added my website domain in front of each and then followed used Autoptimize and Extra tab and list these URL’s – it required full URL that’s why I added it as:?https://globerovers.com/webfonts/fa-solid-900.woff2,?https://globerovers.com/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.7.0,?https://globerovers.com/webfonts/fa-brands-400.woff2

Now my PageSpeed Insights score has gone from 34 down to 6,… and my website loads very very slow. What to do? Can I reverse what I did?

    Thanks
    ?Peter

removing those preload keys and clearing your page cache(s) should suffice?

I am now getting this warning:

    Preload key requests:
Warnings: A preload <link> was found for “https://globerovers.com/&#8221; but was not used by the browser. Check that you are using the crossorigin attribute properly.

Ensure text remains visible during webfont load
Warnings: Lighthouse was unable to automatically check the font-display values for the origin https://globerovers.com.

well, what of the lab data is in red? what opportunities are listed?

    Thread Starter webcrawlerhk

    (@webcrawlerhk)

    These are listed:

    Preload key requests 2.39
    Eliminate render-blocking resources 1.27
Reduce initial server response time 0.84
    Remove unused CSS 0.64
    Remove unused JavaScript 0.32

I already used Autoptimize and Async JavaScript to reduce CSS and JS

AO & Async JS do not reduce the amount of CSS/ JS though ..

If I were you I would first focus on “server response time” for which a page caching plugin would help. Next up would be “render-blocking resources” for which you could have a look at “inline & defer CSS” in Autoptimize (more info in the AO FAQ).

Thanks, but my problem is “paste the block of “above the fold CSS” in the input field “. Where to find the “above the fold CSS”?
