I have read about others having a problem with a jumping widget. I have the same problem on our site. I have discovered the cause, but do not know the solution.

The desired widget has the id text-22. However, when I scroll down a bit and the jumping commences, if I use the inspector, I see another widget called text-22_clone also appears with the visibility: hidden. I have no such widget called text-22_clone as far as I can tell when I look at the widgets on the backend. I have no clue where this “clone” is coming from.

I also created a new widget with the same properties and the same issue occurs with it as well, so this is not a one-off thing.

    Any suggestions what to do?

Update: I have identified that the issue is related to the Extended Widget Options Plugin. We recently upgraded to it from the Widget Options free version and the problem is only happening with the paid version. I will follow up with the plugin support.

Hi @nbh707, thanks for the update.
I am marking this one as “resolved” for now since you found the cause somewhere else. Please come back if you or they found an issue in Fixed Widget.

    Thanks,
    Thomas
