Looking at your screenshots, your images are currently being loaded from the Instagram CDN. As Instagram only offer certain image sizes then doing this may display images larger than needed.
To combat this, we have a setting which will allow you to instead display downsized versions of the images which will be saved to your site at a smaller size, helping to improve performance. Could you check to see whether the following setting is enabled: Instagram Feed > Settings > Customize > Misc > Image Resizing > Favor Local Images (screenshot).
