Hello! I installed the plugin yesterday and I liked the idea of it, it’s really convenient. But there are some problems.

I use Google Tag Manager and through it to connect other counters, such as Yandex Metrika. If I connect the manager codes manually, I use if (! current_user_can (‘administrator’)). But now, with the help of the plugin, everything I do as an administrator is recorded in Yandex. Metrica.

Adsense ads are also displayed for the administrator, but when we work as an administrator, all the pages of the site are actually technical, but Adsense prohibits advertising on technical pages, and in addition, these impressions are recorded in reports.

How can I exclude Google Tag Manager and Adsense for admin?

Also I can’t figure out what function the Site Kit button in the top admin panel has? This button doesn’t work for me. Also in the developer panel I see some errors. Please see the screenshot.

Plugin also duplicates the code of the Google Tag Manager on AMP and regular pages.

I also already found out what the button on the top panel is for, but it only works on the editor page.

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately there are no configurations options or snippet modifications you can apply to the Site Kit place Tag Manager snippet during setup. As it sounds like you’re an advanced Tag Manager user feel free to share any feature requests or what you would like to see within the Tag Manager module on the plugins GitHub repository.

Note that if you prefer to manually insert your Tag Manager snippets Site Kit can recognize these during module activation.

Adsense ads are also displayed for the administrator, but when we work as an administrator, all the pages of the site are actually technical, but Adsense prohibits advertising on technical pages, and in addition, these impressions are recorded in reports.

We have a recently opened GitHub issue in relation to this. Feel free to include any input to that issue. I’ll also include your topic reference on there so we can notify you with any changes to the plugin on this topic.

Note that if your technical pages for administrators all follow a particular path you can use this AdSense support topic for assistance on restricting ads to those pages.

Plugin also duplicates the code of the Google Tag Manager on AMP and regular pages.

Thanks for letting us know, we’ve have other reports of this and we’re currently investigating this behaviour. Feel free to keep watch of the below GitHub issue, with some possible workarounds you can attempt here:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/2668

If you want to open an individual support topic I can be sure to let you know once we have any updates on this.
