    Hello
    I am having issue on receiving new order notification (on Recipient address which I set on backend ) on the site. For some order Recipient get the notification mail and for some there is no notification mail (strange). Site is hosted on wpengine and they said this falls outside their expertise as they don’t host emails. I did some test with wp mail log plugin and there is no error and shows message generates correctly for the new orders (even for the one for which Recipient not getting mail). On checkout page payment is done through paypal standard.

    I already tested by changing another email address on Recipient field in backend and issue is same.

    All the themes and plugins are latest. Highend Theme is active in site.

  • Hi Even I am Facing same issue on 2 sites registration mails are not working rest all order mails and other notification are working correctly.

    If the mails are not sending, there should be something that is conflicting. I’d recommend starting here:

    Please kindly verify that the orders aren’t stuck on pending. If that case, then the new order emails won’t be sent. If not, then the best option is to switch to a different mail server.

    Orders are not stuck on pending. Problem is on getting new order notification regularly for admin. Although order status on backend order page showing as ‘processing’ admin some time gets new order notification and some time not.

    Just to understand you better Its like that if I have 10 orders starting form order id 101-110 all with status ‘processing’ in my backend (woocommerce>orders) page then as an admin I got new order notification for orders #101, #102, #103…there is no notifications for orders #104, #105… got notification for new orders #106, #107…no notification for #108… got notification for orders #109, 110 and goes on like this.

    Its like receives few new order notification then miss few and again receives few then miss some and again receives few and so on for last few days.

    Hope you understand what I mean.

    Seems like it is fixed now. After talking with paypal support team and followed what they said notifications are coming now. But still waiting to confirm if this is really fixed or not.

    Paypal support said that the paypal profile has charset set as windows-1252 so need to change that to UTF-8 as paypal uses UTF-8. And after doing that all the notifications are received.

    Will see how it goes for next 1-2 days and will update here.

    It seems again few new order notifications (not all) are missed. So still not able to know whats causing this.
    I also got message from paypal support like this:
    1)”The ipnpb.paypal.com and ipnpb.sandbox.paypal.com endpoints only accept HTTPS connections. If you currently use https://www.paypal.com, you should move to ipnpb.paypal.com or for Sandbox ipnpb.sandbox.paypal.com when you update your code to use HTTPS” and “it is not compulsory, just recommended as is the latest for IPNs.”
    -> This is something need to change in woocommmerce files on your future updates as i am not seeing option to change in backend setting.

    Till now all new order notifications are coming after my last message (it may be just a fluke last time) so I guess the issue is fixed.
