    Hi,
We have been discussing this issue for a while now. I looked for the information that the other person was describing but was not able to find it. I have set in general settings as “Redirect to url” this cause the other pages that I was using Photo Gallery on not to work properly. This all happened after I did the last update on the plugin. On the pages that I have set up as “Redirect to URL” works fine to redirect to the documents related to the picutures. But on the other pages when the picture is clicked on the photos do not enlarge?

Is there anyone out there with an answer, please.

    Sincerely,
    Michel

  • Hello Michel, @mlight56,

I had the same problem, but in the end I caught the root cause for it.

It turned out that previously configured limitations for the /wp-admin directory on my server were preventing the end users accessing the following script: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.

Please refer to my topic for more detailed explanation:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/image-enlarge-not-working-after-update/

I see that your script is publicly accessible though:
    # curl https://romeosmarine.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
    0

However, you can look for any codes different from ‘200’ in the site access log while trying to open a photo. It could be similar issue as mine.

Does this plugin require any specific settings on the server? I have tried to find the answer to why the images worked fine before the last update and now don’t seem to work properly. I liked the plugin before all this but now I’m not so sure. I am using the plugin to redirect customers to a pdf and on other pages show images. Even if I change the setting in the global setting does not seem to have any effects in the front end?

    Can anyone help please, thanks?

    @mlight56,

    Did you see my comment?
Try to look for any clues in the site access logs while trying to open a photo.

    Hi @c0decrow

Yes I did see your message and I did try to find that information, chatted with my server admins and they didn’t find anything issues in the back end, so I’m not certain where to look. The problem is that everything worked fine before the update and now it only works on one setting or the other. Thank you for getting back to me.

    Dear @mlight56,

    Sorry for the belated response.

Please check the Image click actions set for that gallery: https://nimb.ws/9o257l.
If you are using a short code to publish the gallery, please generate a new one with the desired image click action, https://nimb.ws/op4LDc, and add that new short code here: https://romeosmarine.com/product/island-trader-37-1976/

Does the same issue happen when you create a new gallery and add it to the page?

Make sure the plugin is updated to the latest version.

    Hi @asyag,

I did what you suggested and cleared the cache to make sure that there no interference, still getting the same results? Everything is up to date. I have set up some pages that load up images and some pages that redirect to a pdf – https://romeosmarine.com/parts-look-up/ @ OMC Sail Drives and Sea Drives Parts Catalog. This is why I have it set up as “Redirect to URL”. The pdf’s work but the images do not? And before the update, everything worked fine. Just wondering if the server needs some specific setting now that was perhaps not used before.

    Sincerly
