css code for background colour

Hi I am new and starting to customise the Fascinate theme. I have managed to change some of the background black but as you will see the top under the banner and where the menu buttons are is still white, what would the css code be please?

I changed the writing to white but on the left side widgets your see the headers are not white or symbols or some of the writing. I did try asking in Fascinate theme page but I did not get a response I guess to be fair to them I have a free version with child theme so they may not support changes. So I hope it is ok to ask in here. Any help is appreciated been trying for days to solve it . Thank You
