Dispatch confirmations will no longer be sent

For some time now, dispatch confirmations with consignment codes have no longer been sent to customers by eMail.
Is the problem already present?
How can we fix it?

In the settings, the “shipping notification” section could be enabeled, but is translated from german to english into “do not send” and is deactivated.
So a shipping natification should be send – right?
