How to create a gallery where enlarge images by clicking on them

  • Hello
    I watched a couple of videos on how to create galleries with image, only by WordPress blocks, but not by plugins. I want to create a gallery where to see small images and when I click on some of them, to see it enlarged. I also want the publication, where is the Galerie to stay at the background.
    What I saw and read, – I have to choose in the option of the gallery “Link to” – “Media file”
    Unfortunately, it does not work in the way that I want. When I click on the image – yes I see it enlarged, but I am already on another page ( the page of the picture). The publication, where the gallery is placed, does not appear as background. Is there any way to fix this in the present WordPress version?

  • You are probably look for a javascript script like lightbox. Try looking for a plugin that uses javascript lightbox maybe something like this. You can scale up in css also using transform:scale(2) the scale value is how much large you want to make it. If you looking for a lightbox search for gallery withlight box. Here one I found. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simply-gallery-block/. Just search until you find something you like.

    I understood that I have to use lightbox.
    The first way is too complicated for me, I am not a programmer, so I used the second way -with the gallery plugin. I found around 10 plugins and I checked every one of them, but unfortunately in all of them, there is one problem. Now I am with this here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/foobox-image-lightbox/#description
    The problem is with mobile devices when I open the page. If the description is too long, I can’t click on the image in mobile devices. Do you know how this could be fixed?
    Or shall I write in the forum of the app?
