I was able to turn on abandoned cart emails, but I cannot turn on order notification emails.

    I get the following message:

    WooCommerce users
Mailchimp for WooCommerce 1.0.9 or later is required to support Order Notifications. If you haven’t updated since Feb 3, 2017, please update to the most recent version.
Before you start this Automation, verify that your store is up to date.

…and the “start” button remains greyed-out and unavailable.

I’ve seen this asked before and marked resolved, but it never said what resolved the issue. In one case it was too many characters, so I went back and undid the changes I had made to the email text (minor ones like including the first name merge tag). However, I still got the error and was not able to start the order notifications.

WooCommerce is up to date, as is the Mailchimp plugin which shows that it is connected. This is a new WooCommerce install with only a few products currently in the shop at this point. I’m just testing everything out.

What can I do to get this resolved? FYI I tried this with a different site as well, same behavior.

    Thanks,
    Cheryl

Hi @tricheryltops, thanks for reaching out. Can you confirm that you’re using the latest version of the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin? At the time of this post it is v2.5. If so, maybe try a fresh uninstall and reinstall of the plugin and try setting up the order notifications again in Mailchimp. Please note, you’ll need to do a brand new order notification after uninstalling the plugin, it won’t “re-attach” to the old one if that makes sense.

Let us know if that fixes things up; if not, we’ll be glad to investigate further.

    Hi,
Thanks for the response. I had already tried a reinstall, but hadn’t redone the order notification. But I’ve decided just to use notifications from my WooCommerce shop and just use the Mailchimp abandoned cart email for now.
    Thanks
    Cheryl
